Limits
menfez runs behind Cloudflare, so some of Cloudflare’s limits apply to every tunnel.
| Limit | |
|---|---|
| Request body | 100 MB per request. Larger uploads fail with 413. |
| Time to first response byte | 100 seconds. A slower response ends in Cloudflare’s 524 page. Streaming responses (SSE, chunked) and WebSockets are fine as long as data keeps flowing. |
| Tunnels per connection | 10 |
| Local side | Plain HTTP only; HTTPS local services are not supported yet. |
| Protocols | HTTP and WebSockets. TCP tunnels (SSH, databases) are planned. |
Caching
Section titled “Caching”Nothing is cached between visitors and your service: every request reaches your machine.
Early responses to large uploads
Section titled “Early responses to large uploads”If your service answers an upload without reading its body and closes the connection (for
example a 413 sent before reading), the visitor may see Cloudflare’s 502 page instead of your response.
Read or drain the body before answering to avoid this.
